With its warm, sun-drenched colours and architectural details inspired by the Mediterranean building tradition, a large sea-view terrace and private swimming pool, Villa Isotta is the perfect expression of the Costa Adeje lifestyle. Situated on Tenerife’s southern coast, the resort boasts the highest concentration of 5-star hotels in Europe and is immensely popular with discerning travellers. Not least because Adeje, like the whole of the Canary Islands, enjoys a pleasant subtropical climate with an average year-round temperature of 23°C.
The two-family residence is located within the El Madronal resort close to the famous sandy beach of Playa Fañabé, which offers ideal conditions for relaxation and long ocean swims. “Villa Isotta was originally built in the 1990s, then in 2019 underwent a meticulous renovation project, which I carried out myself. I also oversaw the interior design project, choosing local furnishings with the advice of an expert interior designer,” says Michele Rossi, owner of the real estate firm Immobiliare Roma based in Rivergaro, in the northern Italian province of Piacenza.
In addition to the large lounge, various service areas, a terrace and outdoor areas close to the swimming pool, the residence offers four elegant bedrooms located both in the main villa and in a separate annex to ensure the maximum privacy for all residents.
For the surface covering materials, Michele Rossi chose tiles from Ceramiche Caesar to bring elegance and functionality to some of the indoor and outdoor areas, “ensuring aesthetic continuity between the indoor and outdoor spaces”, noted the designer.
In the interiors, the stone effect of the Portraits porcelain stoneware series coordinates effectively with the quartzite-inspired Inner collection, while the vibrant Tangram decoration brings a touch of originality to the walls of a master bathroom. The Capri decoration from the Autore collection evokes the tradition of Venetian-style terrazzo on the walls of some of the rooms in Villa Isotta.
Perfectly squared and rectified 20 mm thick Aextra20 monolithic porcelain slabs were used for the exterior pavings. Chosen in the Faro colour from the Portraits collection with a non-slip surface finish, Aextra20 proved to be the ideal solution for outdoor use, not just due to its high strength and durability but also thanks to its extensive range of trim pieces that enables it to meet all design requirements.
The end result strikes a perfect balance between aesthetics and function in keeping with the spirit of hospitality typical of Villa Isotta.
