The Enterprise Hotel in Milan, a four-star luxury establishment owned by the Planetaria Group, has recently introduced an innovative new hospitality concept with the inauguration of the Nesting Rooms, eight suites that offer a perfect balance of comfort, style and craftsmanship.

The Nesting Rooms project involved the collaboration of some of the most renowned furniture designers and craftsmen. One standout design feature is the choice of Deconcrete collection tiles from Ceramica Sant’Agostino for both the floors and walls of the suites. This material, with its timeless terrazzo pattern enhanced by mosaic flakes, has been reinterpreted to create sophisticated, lively and contemporary spaces. The Deconcrete collection, with its distinctive colour palette and textures, gives the suites a strong character and unique atmosphere that combines elegance and vibrancy.

Each room has a dominant colour, varying between green, red and gold, which can be found in distinctive elements such as the bed headboard. The furniture, custom-made by Cassina, uses premium materials such as walnut and coloured briarwood, enhanced by steel and leather details. The lighting fixtures from Flos blend harmoniously with the original design by Studio Sottsass e Associati, giving the rooms a timeless appeal.

Along with their stunning design, the Nesting Rooms offer all the modern comforts necessary for a relaxing stay. Each suite is equipped with large LCD TVs with Sky channels, air conditioning, a safe, a minibar, soundproofing and high-speed Wi-Fi. The marble-tiled bathrooms, enhanced with Sicis glass mosaics, also contribute to a luxurious user experience.

One notable innovation is the integration of Dust Free technology, originally developed for NASA. This technology actively and continuously sanitizes the air and surfaces, eliminating mould, bacteria, viruses and allergens. This system ensures a healthy and safe environment, catering to the growing demands of modern travellers.

Inspired by Milan’s famous “railing houses”, a kind of tenement building with shared open galleries, the Nesting Rooms are decorated in traditional colours such as terracotta pink, yellow and shades of blue, creating a cosy and reassuring environment. The furnishings, created by Moroso Contract to a design by the Planetaria Hotels team, completes the warm and familiar atmosphere.

The project is driven by a desire to provide hospitality centred on individuals and their need for privacy and protection, explained Sofia Gioia Vedani, CEO of Planetaria Hotels. With their independent entrances and remote check-in option, the Nesting Rooms guarantee maximum discretion and flexibility, making them ideal for both business and leisure guests. In this respect, they represent a paradigm shift in the hotel industry, breaking down the traditional boundaries between business and leisure.
