The Forum Hotel is located in Subotica, a city in the far north of Serbia where the cultures and traditions of numerous Central and Eastern European peoples converge. Designed for a young, convenience-conscious clientele, this four-star hotel offers an essential yet inviting atmosphere, blending comfort and functionality without excess or ostentation.
Situated on Subotica’s main pedestrian street amid some of the city’s most stunning architecture and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, cinemas and galleries, the Forum Hotel showcases the design expertise of Studio White, with Serbian architect Zoran Petrovic playing a key role. The hotel is housed in a three-storey building and offers a variety of accommodation options, including single rooms, double rooms and suites, some with views of a Franciscan monastery and garden. Amenities include a bar, restaurant, conference room and private parking.
Aesthetically, the hotel embraces a fresh, modern look with neutral colours that enhance the brightness of the spaces, complemented by coloured furniture and accessories that add a lively touch. A key design feature is the interplay of different materials, which, according to the architect, enhances the geometry of the spaces. One example is the combination of porcelain stoneware surfaces from the Cerdisa Ricchetti Group. Cerdisa brand collections include Landstone (White and Anthracite), EC1 (Barbican and Farington) and Blackboard (White and Anthracite), blending various shades of grey with stone and concrete effects. At the same time, the Reload (Clay, Sand and Titanium), Atelier (Tobacco and Juta) and Kalkaria collections from Ricchetti introduce warmer tones. This diverse yet harmonised ensemble adds depth and character to the hotel’s spaces, creating a highly distinctive atmosphere.
