Did you know that Italian ceramic sanitaryware consists mainly of mineral raw materials and water?
Italian ceramics are recyclable and produced in an industrial process with reduced environmental impacts.
The mixtures are made from clay, kaolin, quartz and feldspar, with added water.
There are two types. “Vitreous china” or “sanitary porcelain” used for toilets. And “fireclay” or “porcelain stoneware” for shower trays and sinks.
Quartz and feldspar are mixed for the glaze, and then applied with a compressed air gun or automated systems.
This avoids the use of resins and solvents, pollutant materials that are not recyclable.
With Italian ceramic sanitaryware, you will be sure of installing safe products in your bathroom.
