The newly inaugurated Casa della Comunità in Rivoli is a modern outpatient clinic covering approximately 1,000 square metres on a single, ground-level floor. The facility houses eleven medical and nursing offices, a telemedicine room and various ancillary and service spaces. Every detail of the interiors has been meticulously designed, with special attention to the architectural elements and finishes. The project was led by Turin-based engineering and architecture firm Studio12 Srl STP, which also oversaw the construction of this new healthcare landmark.

The project involved complete transformation of the site, including modifications to the building’s façades with the installation of new high-performance full-height windows, combining opaque and glazed sections, along with a redesigned entrance portal. Inside, dry partitions were used to create the new rooms, while the necessary mechanical and electrical systems were seamlessly integrated into the walls and suspended ceilings, made of metal in the circulation areas and plasterboard in the medical rooms. The interiors were designed with a strong focus on health and hygiene, essential for a healthcare facility. The materials were chosen to comply with regulatory standards while also prioritising durability and visual appeal. Specifically, porcelain stoneware and wood panelling were adopted in the connecting areas, porcelain stoneware in the bathrooms, and rubber flooring in the outpatient and medical rooms.

Ceramiche Caesar’s collections played a pivotal role in shaping these spaces, creating an environment that is both functional and welcoming. For the flooring, the Alchemy collection in Argent was chosen in a 120×120 cm size. With its metallic tones, this collection gives the spaces a sleek, modern aesthetic and distinctive tactile quality, while subtle oxidised effects further add to the ambience. The walls are tiled with large slabs from the same Alchemy collection in the TC. Mint shade. Their glossy finish creates elegant focal points, while the fresh, contemporary mint-green hue enhances the brightness of the spaces, conveying a sense of balance and tranquillity – two essential qualities in a healthcare setting.

“During the design phase, we selected Ceramiche Caesar’s porcelain stoneware for its outstanding technical and aesthetic qualities,” explains Studio12. “We opted for a variety of finishes and sizes to suit the different areas of Casa della Comunità, from the functional rooms to the full-height tiling of the entrance and waiting areas. Collaboration with the Caesar team proved invaluable in identifying the most functional and cost-effective solutions for each space.”
