Marazzi opens its flagship showroom in Athens

A space of 400 sqm located on the ground floor of “The Orbit” building inspired by Greek mythology. The exhibition concept of Marazzi showroom sees ceramic and porcelain stoneware products displayed as a contemporary labyrinth.

Marazzi, founded in 1935 in Italy and present in the Greek market since the end of 1990, opens its first flagship showroom in Athens, in the Ampelokipoi district, to promote the dialogue, in a blend of tradition and innovation, with the community of customers, architects and designers.

The space curated by Gianluca Rossi – Uainot architects – of about 400 square meters located on the ground floor of “The Orbit” building by Vikelas Architects & LC Architects is inspired by the labyrinth of Greek mythology. A sequence of various settings, characterized by a mix and match of different materials showing the infinite potential of ceramic and porcelain tiles for any kind of project.  The labyrinth ends at the material library, a physical catalogue of high-end products, where surfaces, textures and colours can be touched and combined.

The entrance shows the Grande Marble Look Verde Aver and Bianco Arni marble-effect big slabs covering the reception area with the neutral tones and striking handmade effect of the “CrogioloRice collection, Marazzi’s research into industrial craftsmanship that rediscovers the beauty of authentic, decorated ceramics, result of the encounter between artisanal knowledge and industrial technology.

Top and coating of the coffee area are entirely realized with Marble Look Capraia and Elegant Black slabs from the new line The Top, large porcelain slabs distinguished by matt, satin and glossy surfaces of extreme refinement intended for the design of tops, backsplashes, tables, doors and endless tailor-made furniture options for residential and commercial spaces.

The grand opening event, organized with the collaboration of Design Ambassador, took place last February 10.
