Mapei inaugurates its first subsidiary in Chile

Mapei announces the opening of its first subsidiary in Chile, in Pudahuel, in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago.

This is an important step for the Italian multinational that continues its international expansion strategy, marking its entry into the Chilean market, a country that has been growing steadily in recent years, thanks to its openness to international markets and its far-sighted economic policies.

The new Pudahuel location, dedicated to commercial activities and production of concrete admixture, will house a quality control laboratory which, coordinated by the corporate research centre in Milan, will ensure the compliance of products destined for the local market. In addition, the branch will host a “Mapei Academy” training centre, designed to provide operators in the sector with the necessary tools to know and make the best use of Mapei solutions. These local facilities guarantee the highest product quality and offer continuous training opportunities to professionals in the sector, bringing value to the area.

“We are excited to open a subsidiary in Chile, one of the most stable and growing economies in Latin America, with a strong institutional system and an investment-friendly environment,” states Veronica Squinzi, CEO of Mapei. “With this new location, we strengthen our presence in Latin America, confirming our commitment to providing high quality products focused on sustainability and professional development in the construction sector.

“The opening of our first subsidiary in Chile is an important strategic step for Mapei,” adds Marco Squinzi, CEO of Mapei. “With an expanding construction sector, driven by major infrastructure projects, we are confident that we will be able to make a significant contribution to the innovation and development of this evolving market, meeting our customers’ needs more effectively with durable, quality products.

With the opening of the Chilean subsidiary, Mapei strengthens its presence throughout Latin America where it operates with over 800 employees in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama and Peru bringing to 59 the number of countries in which it is present worldwide.
