More than 200 top international professionals invited to Cersaie | by Simone Ricci
As Cersaie prepares to return to the Bologna Exhibition Centre from 26 to 30 September this year, the exhibition space at the show is already fully sold out. This will add to the event’s appeal for professionals from the fields of construction, architecture and interior and contract design who see meeting exhibitors as an important part of their business activities.
Now in its tenth edition, Cersaie Business is inviting an ever larger number of top international architects and specifiers to the show with the aim of promoting meetings between these players and the leading Italian ceramic and bathroom furnishing producers taking part as exhibitors. The initiative is organised with the support of the Italian Trade Agency ITA and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
This year there will be 110 guests (40% more than last year) from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, Benelux, Scandinavia, the United States, Canada, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt and the Gulf Area. The delegates will spend the entire duration of Cersaie visiting exhibitor companies’ stands and will also have the opportunity to discover the many outstanding examples of Italian excellence based in the Emilia-Romagna region.
A special focus will be devoted to the large-scale real estate development projects under way in Saudi Arabia, with a delegation of top Saudi Arabian architects and developers invited to take part in a roundtable discussion together with the exhibiting companies coordinated by architect Massimo Iosa Ghini.
Cersaie Business is also aimed at trade visitors and installers through partnerships with the associations TTA (The Tile Association, the British tile layers’ association), BDB (Bundesverband Deutscher Baustoff-Fachhandel e.v., the German Building Materials Distributors’ Association) and EUF (European Union of National Tile Associations) and will welcome a further 55 international guests.
The international press will also be well represented, with around 50 journalists taking part alongside the other foreign delegations.
Finally, the Confindustria Ceramica Distributor Awards will be presented to four distributors (from Italy, France, Germany and Belgium) who have excelled in their dealings with the Italian ceramic tile industry, based on their years of business, expertise, professionalism and investments aimed at promoting Italian tiles.
