Vein Cut and Cross Cut: Two Complementary Looks
Depending on how it is cut, travertine exhibits two different textures. The Cross Cut look replicates the aesthetic achieved by cutting the marble block following the material’s layering, resulting in a texture with dynamic but balanced cloud-like patterns. On the other hand, the Vein Cut version recreates the cut that crosses the stone layers perpendicularly, revealing a texture characterized by sinuous tone-on-tone veins vertically directed.
