Italian ceramic manufacturers to meet architects during the Dubai Design Week | by Simone Ricci
With the aim of giving Italian ceramic companies the opportunity to establish new contacts and network with international design and architecture professionals, a B2B workshop has been organised for Wednesday 14 November during the Dubai Design Week 2018. At the event, organised in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency ITA, 15 Italian ceramic companies will meet some of the most important architecture firms in the Gulf region (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Iran and Oman).
Organised under the sector-wide Ceramics of Italy banner, the meetings are intended to promote the Italian ceramic industry and Cersaie and provide a unique opportunity for ceramic companies to meet international architecture professionals and present the latest new products in the field of Italian ceramics and their applications in modern architectural solutions.
The following Italian companies will be taking part in the B2B meetings in Dubai: Altaeco, Atlas Concorde, Cotto Possagno, Del Conca, Elios, FAP, Fincibec, Italgraniti, Keope, Marca Corona, Mirage, Panaria, San Valentino, Refin and Ricchetti.
The B2B meetings with architecture firms selected by ITA will take place from 2:30 pm onwards in the Italian Pavilion (Stand A-28) during the exhibition Downtown Design Dubai, held in the Dubai Design District (D3). The meetings will be preceded at 12:00 pm by introductory remarks by Gianpaolo Bruno from ITA-Dubai, the Italian Ambassador to the UAE Liborio Stellino and the Italian Consul General Valentina Setta. A speech will then be given by a representative of the Association, followed by a talk by architect Mario Cucinella entitled “From the product to sustainability in the world of ceramics” in which he will present a number of case studies and recount his experience in architecture projects using ceramics.
