Villa Solara, Punta Cana Resort & Club - Punta Cana, Santo Domingo (Dominican Rep.)

The luxurious comfort of a Caribbean villa

Villa Solara is a luxury location where guests can relax and enjoy time spent with family or friends. It is located within the Punta Cana Resort & Club, one of the Caribbean’s most popular destinations which can easily be reached from anywhere in the world
By Elena Cattaneo

The development of the Punta Cana Resort & Club began in 1971 when Dominican entrepreneur Frank R. Rainieri and the New York lawyer and labour mediator Theodore W. Kheel formed a partnership to create a resort and community that would respect Punta Cana’s natural environment while offering a world-class holiday experience. Over the years, the resort has expanded to cover more than 26 square miles, including Tortuga Bay, the Westin Puntacana Resort & Club, Four Points by Sheraton Puntacana Village, Six Senses Spa and the Puntacana Ecological Foundation. It features several residential communities, a marina, restaurants, a shopping village, a golf course, a tennis court, a football pitch and the Punta Cana International Airport, a modern structure with an innovative and eco-friendly design. One of the latest projects is Villa Solara, a 7-bedroom luxury residence with interiors designed by Vanessa Osechas of the Volalto Group. Her design choices create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that evokes a sense of home and family. “Through the interior design of Villa Solara, we wanted to reflect the essence of this property as a place where guests can relax surrounded by luxury, comfort, simplicity and warmth. It offers the unique services of a resort, along with the privacy and beauty of its location overlooking the lake,” says Vanessa Osechas. “To create a sense of harmony with the surrounding natural environment, we selected warm materials such as wood and coral stone and used cream tones for the floors, walls and fabrics, while touches of colour were provided by the mostly handmade accessories.”

The neutral tones establish a sense of harmony between indoor and outdoor spaces, a result that was primarily achieved through the use of ceramic tiles from NovaBell’s Davos collection. Featuring inserts that replicate the brilliant white quartz inclusions typical of Swiss Alpine stone, Davos collection tiles stand out for both their aesthetic appeal and their exceptional resistance to wear, shock, stains and mould. They also coordinate perfectly with exterior elements such as special pieces for swimming pools and steps.

Villa Solara offers guests a uniquely luxurious and enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive, including transport from Punta Cana airport. They are greeted by a concierge who attends to every detail to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay.
