The organisers of Cersaie 2024 are hard at work preparing a packed programme of cultural, educational and networking initiatives aimed at the world’s top global professionals attending the show. These efforts are focused in particular on the new exhibit in the Quadriportico, a central area hosting the “building, dwelling, thinking” programme and other events. This multicultural platform embodies Cersaie’s ethos and will host discussions and provide insights into future market trends, the evolving design landscape, and the concept of architectural space.

Curated by Dario Curatolo, the exhibit represents a journey inspired by last year’s Route 40 experience. It reimagines the “piazza” in Bologna’s iconic style, envisioning the city’s famous porticoes as spaces for interaction, networking and social engagement. The exhibit will be entirely recyclable and reusable, with zero waste and maximum sustainability.

The new Quadriportico exhibit will occupy an approximately 1,000-square-metre space divided into several areas, including a conference arena with seating for up to 200 people. Alongside the “building, dwelling, thinking” events, the space will also feature a design bookshop, an ADI (Industrial Design Association) stand celebrating 10 years of the ADI Award at Cersaie, and a radio station broadcasting live throughout the show. A large screen will illustrate the evolution of the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition, while a lounge will offer a refreshment and meeting space for visitors. There will also be a Confindustria Ceramica institutional desk where visitors can find further information on the Italian ceramic industry.

Due to be held in Bologna from 23 to 27 September 2024, this year’s International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings will reaffirm the show’s status as the premier destination for professionals eager to discover innovative materials, share experiences and gain insights into the industry’s future.
