Located in the heart of Toscana Valley, a slice of Italy set amid Thailand’s hills, this private villa captures the charm of a traditional Tuscan residence. Toscana Valley is a residential and tourist complex that faithfully recreates the aesthetics of the Tuscan landscape, with architecture reminiscent of mediaeval Italian villages and wide, tree-lined streets. Designed by Vi Studio, the villa features elegant porticos, loggias, panoramic terraces and an Italian-style garden. Every detail has been carefully curated to ensure maximum comfort and aesthetic appeal, transporting guests to the rolling hills of Italy thousands of miles away.

“We are an interior design team from Bangkok,” explain the designers at Vi Studio, whose founder studied interior design at Domus Academy in Milan. “That’s why working within Toscana Valley is particularly inspiring for us. Here, the concept of architecture and interior design adheres to a Tuscan aesthetic, seamlessly blending into the surrounding hilly landscape.”

Toscana Valley is a popular destination for Bangkok residents looking for a luxury retreat, while also attracting international visitors due to its distinctive charm, high-quality amenities and prime location. The complex is situated near Khao Yai National Park, one of Thailand’s largest and oldest nature reserves renowned for its stunning waterfalls, lush tropical forests and abundant wildlife.

A key factor in the success of this residential project was the careful selection of surface covering materials. The goal was to create an atmosphere that evokes the authenticity of Tuscany while maintaining a modern and functional vision. For the villa’s floors – both indoors and outdoors – the designers chose Massive Stone, a stone-effect porcelain tile collection from Coem, in the Modulo format and pale Moon colour. “The patterns, colours and textures of the selected Italian ceramic tiles perfectly complement the project,” explain the designers. “Coem’s Massive Stone proved the ideal choice due to its variety of sizes, timeless appeal and sustainable production process.”

The result is a harmonious environment that balances elegance with durability. The stone-effect flooring creates seamless continuity between the interior and exterior spaces, reinforcing the concept of a home in perfect symbiosis with nature. The wall coverings were also carefully chosen to enhance the villa’s Tuscan aesthetic. For the kitchen backsplash and the double washbasin niche, the designers opted for Palladiana from Coem’s Kavastone series, a tile that evokes the timeless elegance of classic terrazzo floors. The interplay of shapes and colours in this collection adds a touch of sophistication to the interiors, while its ease of maintenance makes it ideal for functional spaces such as the kitchen.
